About the Role
The Accountant is responsible for personnel service expenses and Position Control maintenance and analysis. The Accountant will also serve as liaison between program operations, Human Resources and Finance for the consistency of labor records.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain personnel labor distribution report (LDR) insuring labor allocation accuracy.
- Reconcile the LDR, accounting system (Fund EZ) general ledger and HRIS (Dayforce) system records.
- Advise and support operations staff with processing staff allocation changes in the HR system to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Support the payroll department in bi-weekly payroll process exception analyses.
- Maintain books/journal entries for all labor allocation changes.
Requirements
- Two years’ experience in an Accounting position with hands-on knowledge of account analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with different internal stakeholders.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Excellent/Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Accounting experience in a nonprofit environment preferred.
