About the Role

Canopius is seeking a motivated and analytical candidate with strong communication skills and an interest in cybersecurity to develop Threat Intelligence and Proactive Services capabilities. This role supports cyber underwriting operations and is suitable for an ambitious graduate or early career professional. You will gain exposure to insurance, cybersecurity, and consulting, enhancing your communication and presentation skills while receiving training in cybersecurity concepts. This client-facing role involves working closely with leadership and underwriters to deliver proactive cybersecurity services and engage with stakeholders to navigate the evolving cyber threat landscape. The position offers the opportunity to build and demonstrate cybersecurity expertise and deliver innovative solutions to enhance Canopius’ cyber insurance offering and support company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver proactive cybersecurity services including cyber tabletop exercises, security awareness training, development of cyber policies and procedures, and threat report briefings.
  • Transform complex threat intelligence data into actionable insights by crafting detailed quarterly reports on industry trends and emerging risks.
  • Develop and present whitepapers and webinars to upskill policyholders and share proprietary research.
  • Onboard new policyholders by presenting cyber threat intelligence reports and showcasing proactive services.
  • Engage with Proactive Services vendors to integrate their services into the company's offering.
  • Identify policyholder cyber risk management needs and develop new ways to expand the Proactive Services offering.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to provide technical expertise and support risk assessment processes, including reviewing technical findings from scanning tools.
  • Enhance Canopius’ brand presence by preparing and delivering presentations to brokers and developing content for online resources.

Requirements

  • Degree in a STEM field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering) or a discipline emphasizing strong communication skills and an understanding of cyber risk (e.g., Politics, International Relations, Languages).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools like Python, SQL, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in presenting and communicating complex information.
  • Ability to absorb complex technical information or data analytics and translate it into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative personality comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable passion for cybersecurity and interest in staying up-to-date on emerging threats and trends.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, data privacy regulations, and frameworks.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity tools and technologies such as outside-in scanning solutions, threat intelligence platforms, or other cybersecurity products.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a passion for exploring emerging threats and trends.
