About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team.   • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams to aid in diagnosis.
  • Handle dogs and cats with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist in post-operative care as needed.
  • Provide education to pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • NYS License in Veterinary Technology is required.
  • Experience with animal restraint techniques and handling is required.
  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and their pets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
