About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer II (Android) to join our dynamic mobile team. This role offers a remote-first working model with periodic in-person gatherings for team connection and collaboration. You will work closely with product managers and designers, participating in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment, with a daily release cycle.
Responsibilities
- Code and focus on writing code.
- Touch code at every level, including app development and backend microservices.
- Collaborate with Product and design teams to define feature specifications and deliver high-quality products.
- Take responsibility for all aspects of software engineering, including design, implementation, development experience, QA, and maintenance.
- Work alongside global engineering groups.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making.
- Proven ability to operate effectively with a global-first mindset.
- Experience developing an Android app and familiarity with mobile web and back-end technologies is beneficial.
- At least 3 years of commercial software development experience, solving diverse technical problems.
- Experience with reactive programming in native mobile platforms.
- Willingness and ability to adopt new technologies.
- Ability to break down complex problems into simple solutions.
- High-quality verbal and written communication skills.
- Sense of ownership and pride in your work.
