About the Role
This seasonal position assists in all aspects of the dining program at YMCA Camp Chingachgook during the summer camp season, under the direction of the Head Chef and Food Service Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and/or dining area clean-up for 3 meals a day for 450 participants.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility as a member of the Clean Team.
- Report all accidents and incidents involving self, participants, guests, and other employees.
- Ensure hygiene of the kitchen area and tools, meeting all applicable state, county, and city regulations and policies.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- The ability and willingness to follow directions.
- The ability to articulate and model YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibilities are essential.
Skills
- Experience in food service preparation and delivery preferred.
- Proficiency in using kitchen appliances and equipment is preferred.
- Excellent human relation skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
