About the Role

HEALWELL AI is seeking a proactive and experienced finance professional to join their team and play a key role in scaling and transforming the company's global finance function. This role will optimize financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes, drive continuous improvement, and leverage automation and AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and provide insight to support decision-making by senior management.
• Assist in the development of financial reports and dashboards for monitoring key SaaS performance indicators (KPIs).
• Supervise and review the work of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Provide guidance on revenue recognition policies to the accounting team and explain these policies to business unit leaders.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles, policies, and procedures and standardization of policies across multiple business units.
• Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Support the cash flow planning and management process to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and growth.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions.
• Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with external audits, including providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
• Collaborate with the finance team to support the quarterly / annual budgeting process.
• Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections.
• Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the financial month end close process.
• Optimize the use of the accounting system (Netsuite) by standardizing the Chart of Accounts and automating key financial reports.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies, as needed.
• Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Stay current with accounting and financial industry trends and regulations and share insights with the team.
• Support the integration process for new acquisitions and assist in developing an integration playbook.

Requirements

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead by example.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS GAAP.
• Public company experience and/or experience taking a company public is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Flexible, adaptable, and agile style and can adjust to multiple demands and a changing, fast paced, high-pressure environment.
