About the Role
Thompson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing patient care to Urgent Care patients. Join a culture where interdisciplinary teams improve care and your ideas are part of the solution.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality nursing patient care to Urgent Care patients under the supervision of the providers and Practice Management.
- Assess, plan, give and document nursing care.
- Assist the provider with patients, including the preparation of examination rooms and patients for visits.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
- Assist with special procedures, including minor procedures.
- Complete all results and patient call backs within the scope of practice, following up with patients and providers as appropriate.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensure clinical operations comply with Joint Commission, NYS DOH requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse - New York license required.
- Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
Skills
- Professionally mature, energetic and creative individual who demonstrates leadership qualities demanded in a rapidly changing health care environment.
- Experience using an EMR preferred.

Experience Level
- 2-4 years of recent nursing experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years family practice, urgent care, acute care, occupational medicine or outpatient care nursing experience.
Education Level
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing, required.
Salary/Compensations
- $35-46/hour
