About the Role

Work with the R&D department to develop and fabricate new test equipment, maintain current equipment, and manage the control system for tracking equipment status, maintenance, and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Develop test hardware for aligning or testing electronic product functionality.
• Maintain and repair current equipment, wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors.
• Fabricate new hardware, including machining, PCB population, wiring, and final assembly.
• Maintain the service equipment database, including labeling, assignment, service, and calibration.
• Regularly review equipment for upcoming service or calibration needs.
• Coordinate calibration schedules with management.
• Coordinate calibration and service of test equipment, both in-house and with outside labs.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality systems.
• Perform related duties as requested.

• Ability to read, interpret, and write reports.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, and customers.

• Must have basic computer skills.
• Regularly required to sit, use hands, reach, talk, or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Work in a moderate to loud noise environment.
• Work in a non-smoking environment.

• Computer-assisted design software (e.g., AutoCAD)
• Electronic schematics / PCB design software (e.g., DipTrace)
• Reading electronic schematics and PCB drawings
• Soldering (through-hole and SMD)
• Machining (drilling, milling, etc.)
• Mechanical and electrical assembly

Experience Level

• Minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training

Education Level

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
