About the Role
The Airline Optimization - Horizons team is responsible for understanding and evaluating the impact of Network plans on the Operation, and vice versa. The team supports planning decisions across the company to maximize end-to-end profitability and ensure operational robustness. The role involves optimizing schedules and operational setup by working across teams to prepare the schedule for deployment, and aligning Network plans with the operational footprint. The ideal candidate is passionate about aviation and possesses excellent quantitative and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify inefficiencies in Network or operational plans and develop improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Route & Schedule Planning teams to build schedule scenarios, assess revenue/strategic impact, and execute Network changes.
- Measure the cost impact of schedule and operational resources changes using planning scenarios.
- Develop tools to forecast operability outcomes and disruption risk.
- Build relationships with Operational teams to align planning decisions.
- Leverage project and change management techniques for end-to-end implementation of decisions.
- Improve schedule design and operational planning processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain or a related quantitative field; OR demonstrated capability with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- One (1) year of analytical or related experience.
- Strong capabilities with database querying (e.g., SQL) and/or high-level programming language(s) (such as Python or R).
- Strong airline business acumen.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication ability.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country.
- Authorization to work in the US is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

- $64,350.00 - $89,600.00 per year
