About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will help shape the team's direction by identifying key questions, structuring analyses, and translating findings into actionable recommendations. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in cross-functional settings and enjoy bringing clarity and measurable impact to complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product, engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to frame ambiguous opportunities, define success measures, and shape high-value problem statements before solutions are built.
- Lead high-impact analysis that uncovers trends, diagnoses root causes, and generates actionable insight to improve product, operational, or customer outcomes.
- Design and maintain robust measurement approaches, KPI frameworks, and governance practices that improve decision quality and create alignment across stakeholders.
- Translate large, complex, and sometimes messy datasets into clear narratives, recommendations, and tradeoffs that influence prioritization and investment decisions.
- Build scalable analytical assets, methodologies, or data science solutions that can be used repeatedly across the team or domain.
- Mentor other team members by raising the bar on analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and data-informed decision making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Substantial experience applying advanced analytics, experimentation, statistical methods, and data storytelling to business or product problems.
- Experience structuring complex business issues and partnering cross-functionally to turn them into scalable analytical or data science solutions.
- Proficient in SQL and at least one analytical programming language such as Python or R.
- Comfortable working with large-scale structured and semi-structured data.
- Effective at communicating insight, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
