About the Role
As an Implementations Manager, you'll own new customer implementations end to end, from kickoff and technical configuration to training and driving to a successful go-live. This role is crucial for ensuring customers adopt Numeric as their system of record and is the operational and process pillar of the post-sales team, involving technical, project-driven work and relationship building.
Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of implementations end to end, including milestone plans, responsibility definition, expectation management, and in-person kickoffs and trainings.
- Perform technical configuration and integration work, including close checklists, reconciliations, flux, reporting, and debugging ERP integrations (NetSuite depth is important).
- Build AI-assisted configurations to scale capacity.
- Train accounting teams on the product and on running an AI-first close.
- Develop deep expertise in specific product areas like Cash implementations, including transaction matching rules, SFTP data feeds, and automation-rate monitoring.
- Ensure customers are actively closing in Numeric at go-live, clearing blockers with Engineering and Product.
- Deliver adopted and documented accounts to Customer Success against defined handoff criteria.
- Codify best practices, create templates, and develop AI agents to automate repetitive tasks.
- Mentor Implementations Associates as the team grows.
- Scope and deliver paid AI implementation services engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally as an accounting manager or technical accounting manager who owned a monthly close.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably software implementations or systems migrations.
- Strong understanding of ERPs (especially NetSuite), integrations, and financial data flow.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide confident guidance and handle pushback with evidence.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- AI fluency and a bias for action, including using AI tools in delivery work.
- Experience with multi-entity and/or multi-currency accounting is a plus.
- Exposure to audit processes and internal control frameworks is a plus.
- Experience scoping or delivering paid services engagements is a plus.
- Ability to write and run basic SQL queries is a plus.
