About the Role

The Senior Transaction Manager will actively support Relationship Directors in all transaction and execution dealings, ensuring high-quality due diligence and adherence to HSBC UK’s quality standards. The role focuses on the efficient and effective completion of customer lending transactions while maintaining underwriting and due diligence standards with a commercial approach.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review heads of terms for prospective customers.
  • Project manage REF transactions from structuring to completion of documentation and drawdown.
  • Instruct, monitor, and liaise with professionals regarding due diligence reports and legal documentation.
  • Review, analyze, and report on property valuations and project monitor reports to Relationship Directors.
  • Review and liaise with professionals and customers to ensure legal documentation aligns with credit-approved terms and HSBC UK policies.
  • Manage lifecycle work and instruct professionals for the existing REF portfolio.
  • Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adherence to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimize risks.
  • Collaborate with Group and Legal colleagues to deliver customer solutions.
  • Support customers by prioritizing their needs and setting world-class standards for fair customer treatment and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience structuring and managing complex relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management, planning, organization, and time management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities of multiple deals.
  • Strong team skills promoting cooperation and trust, overcoming resistance.
  • Experience in efficient and effective completion of customer lending transactions, maintaining high-quality underwriting and due diligence standards with a commercial approach.
  • Experience in the Real Estate segment, including understanding of process, transaction execution, risk analysis, and operational functions.
  • Knowledge of bank lending documentation.
  • Understanding of Real Estate policies, procedures, and guidelines to effectively manage and control the bank’s property lending and reputational risk.
