About the Role
Guggenheim Securities is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Technology & Services Investment Banking group in London. This role involves leading M&A advisory and capital raising services for corporate clients, offering exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. The position emphasizes developing professional skills in M&A process management, financial analysis, and communication within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project management and oversee execution on advisory and financing transactions.
- Drive client relationship development through dialogue with client leadership.
- Develop and oversee financial and accounting analyses to identify and analyze M&A and financing opportunities.
- Lead client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Manage transaction evaluation, due diligence, execution, and preparation of marketing materials.
- Contribute to the creation of strategic frameworks and tools for business development.
- Gather and analyze information, formulate hypotheses, and develop recommendations for senior leadership.
- Identify process improvements and propose solutions for efficient task completion.
- Demonstrate understanding of macro factors impacting client sectors and investment banking.
- Act as lead trainer for Associates and Analysts, providing feedback and guidance.
- Share deal/client context with junior team members and provide motivation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of investment banking or equivalent M&A experience.
- Significant maturity and ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management.
- Highly organized project captain capable of managing high velocity processes.
- Effective communicator – verbal, written, and virtual.
- Agile leader that can exercise sound judgment under pressure.
- Curious and resourceful business person with strong understanding of accounting and finance.
- Mature teammate with the ability to develop relationships with senior-level colleagues and clients.
- Teaching orientation with strong desire to mentor and train junior teammates – ability to be player-coach as needed.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Core modeling and valuation experience in a professional setting.
