About the Role

Guggenheim Securities is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Technology & Services Investment Banking group in London. This role involves advising clients on a broad range of financial and strategic matters, including M&A and capital raising. Associates will work on small client teams, gaining exposure to senior bankers and client representatives, and will receive best-in-class investment banking training.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and contribute to client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
  • Develop and monitor complex financial models for corporate finance alternatives and valuation analysis.
  • Draft internal and client-facing documents, including management presentations, lender presentations, fairness opinions, and pitchbooks.
  • Perform client due diligence, prepare information memoranda, and other transaction-related documentation.
  • Contribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools, and intellectual property for business development.
  • Conduct competitive research, including identifying sector and industry trends.
  • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of investment banking or equivalent M&A experience.
  • Significant level of maturity and ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management.
  • Highly organized, with initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective process management abilities.
  • Core modeling and valuation experience in a professional setting.
