About the Role

The Health Program Coordinator will assist with the coordination of learning collaborative projects under the scope of the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC). This role contributes to the mission of providing the best, safest, and most equitable care for NYS’s birthing people and infants, reducing morbidity and mortality. The work focuses on birth equity, NICU equity, opioid use disorder in pregnancy, and neonatal abstinence syndrome, with a developing project on reducing low-risk cesarean births. The individual will help coordinate the development and implementation of projects to support evidence-based practice changes in participating NYS birthing facilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with the coordination of learning collaborative projects under the scope of the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC).
Contribute to fulfilling the NYSPQC’s mission to provide the best, safest, and most equitable care for NYS’s birthing people and infants, reducing morbidity and mortality for these populations.
Contribute to the ongoing coordination of the development and implementation of NYSPQC projects to support evidence-based and informed practice changes in participating NYS birthing facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program.
Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience.
Six years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program.
Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location.
Selected candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.

Skills

Experience with assisting in the coordination and/or organization of a large-scale project.
Experience in maternal and child health.
Experience working with hospital providers.
Experience assisting with the development of educational strategies, resources and/or materials.
Experience in assisting with developing and coordinating reports for key stakeholders.
Master’s degree in public health or a related field.

Salary/Compensations

Minimum: $69,764.00 - Maximum: $69,764.00 Annually
Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions).
