About the Role
Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to learn the various areas of Mechanical Engineering within the Dematic Organization, and in support of customer projects.
Responsibilities
- Support Modernization and Upgrades on existing material handling systems.
- Perform site audits to collect required data.
- Support the installation of mechanical upgrades.
- Provide detailed layouts and documentation for all modernization scopes.
- Create Purchase Requests and Parts Order Entry.
- Drive activities related to ensuring new equipment is built to specification.
- Provide technical support for Estimating, Sales, Engineering teams, and Field Operations.
Requirements
- Candidates must be pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems.
- Knowledge of CAD design software including AutoCAD.
- Familiarization with Computer Systems and Technologies.
- Ability to solve complex design issues and implement effective and cost-efficient solutions.
- Proven communications skills, flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team of solution-oriented professionals.
