About the Role

CACI is seeking a Business and Financial Operations Specialist, Journeyman to support initiatives combating evolving threats, advancing operational rehearsal, and integrating modeling and simulation. This role contributes to the U.S. and allies' ability to develop and apply models and simulations throughout the lifecycle of military and commercial technologies, ensuring Warfighter readiness and future capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supports critical mission operations by applying standard practices and theories of business, financial, and analytical principles to support modeling and simulation systems engineering efforts.
  • Ensures accuracy of financial and operational data, verifies alignment with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, and tracks project milestones, funding burn rates, and supply chain lead times in support of multi-domain operations and Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) simulation environments.
  • Applies standard practices and theories of business, financial, and analytical principles to support mission-critical operations.
  • Ensures accuracy of financial or operational data and verifies alignment with the FAR.
  • Tracks project milestones, funding burn rates, and supply chain lead times.
  • Prepares and delivers progress, status, and management reports including cost, schedule, accomplishments, risks, and impediments.
  • Prepares and processes purchase orders for equipment, parts, and technical services.
  • Identifies potential vendors and evaluates products based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Compares quotes and determines price reasonableness for mission-critical supplies.
  • Resolves discrepancies in delivery, quality, or invoicing with commercial suppliers.
  • Ensures all purchases adhere to the FAR and local unit policies.
  • Acquires needed materials, supplies, services, and leased services, facilities or equipment including commercial and tactical hardware, software, test equipment, cabling/connectors, and license/maintenance agreements.
  • Assists in preparing budget estimates and ensures completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
  • Analyzes budgeting and accounting reports.
  • Monitors expenditures and tracks funding obligations across multiple appropriation types.
  • Supports Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) cycle activities.
  • Prepares documentation for financial reviews and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, mathematics, statistic, operations research, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3 Years relevant experience.
  • 5 years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with government financial management systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain compliance with DOD cybersecurity policies and DoDM 8140.03 requirements.
