About the Role
CACI is seeking a Senior Operations Research Analyst to support a mission-critical program focused on countering evolving and emerging threats while advancing operational capabilities across the defense enterprise. This initiative includes exploitation and replication activities, operational rehearsal, exercises, wargaming, counter-system development, and the integration and experimentation of advanced Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities. In this role, you will contribute to the development and application of analytical models and simulations that support the full lifecycle of military and commercial technologies and systems. Your work will directly enhance Warfighter readiness, inform strategic decision-making, and help deliver future operational capabilities for the U.S. and its allies.
Responsibilities
- Apply operations research methodologies, mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and optimization techniques to solve complex defense and national security challenges.
- Develop, analyze, and interpret quantitative models to support decision-making, policy development, and strategic planning.
- Collect, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Design and develop decision support tools, software, services, and analytical products that improve mission effectiveness.
- Evaluate operational concepts, technologies, and system performance through modeling, simulation, experimentation, and wargaming.
- Develop and optimize cost, schedule, logistics, and resource allocation models to support program planning and execution.
- Collaborate with government customers, engineers, analysts, and operational stakeholders to translate mission needs into analytical solutions.
- Present findings, technical analyses, and recommendations to senior leadership and program stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree, or 12 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience applying operations research, mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation, or advanced analytics to solve complex problems.
- Experience developing quantitative analyses to support strategic planning, operational assessments, or decision support.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or other national security organizations.
- Knowledge of Modeling and Simulation (M&S), operational analysis, experimentation, or wargaming.
- Experience with programming and analytical tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, C++, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with optimization techniques, discrete-event simulation, Monte Carlo methods, or machine learning applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
