About the Role
As a Product Manager II on Apex’s Trading team, you will manage the lifecycle of a major trading capability, balancing client needs, market-structure and regulatory constraints, and business goals. You will define success metrics, coordinate go-to-market plans, ensure operational readiness, and partner with senior product leaders on strategy.
Responsibilities
- Own a Trading product or major capability, defining a near- to mid-term roadmap and release plan.
- Lead discovery by synthesizing feedback from clients, order flow and usage data, and market-structure and competitive signals.
- Translate strategy into PRDs/epics across the order lifecycle and manage the product-level backlog.
- Coordinate delivery across design, engineering, data, and QA, as well as trade desk, operations, clearing, and compliance partners.
- Define success metrics and instrumentation for trading systems and drive iterative improvements.
- Plan launches and go-to-market with marketing, sales, and relationship management.
- Prepare value cases and impact estimates for trading initiatives and track outcomes.
- Ensure regulatory and best execution obligations are reflected in product decisions.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and operational gaps early and drive mitigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of product management experience in technology settings.
- Fintech, brokerage, or capital markets experience strongly preferred.
- Proven success managing the product lifecycle for a product or major capability.
- Experience coordinating across multiple teams and delivering measurable impact.
- Experience defining product KPIs and ensuring operational readiness and GTM coordination.
- Working knowledge of the trade lifecycle or a demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in a complex, regulated domain.
