About the Role

Sentara Health is recruiting for a Full Time, Day Shift Respiratory Therapist for Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC. Sign-on bonuses are available for qualified candidates, and relocation assistance is offered for those outside the geographic area.

• Provide respiratory therapy services.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree required.
• Non-degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
• State license, active NBRC RRT and BLS required at time of hire.
• For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.

• Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is a 182-bed, full service facility offering a wide range of services, including: inpatient and critical care, a full array of surgical services, sophisticated diagnostic imaging technology, comprehensive women’s care, cardiology, cancer treatment, rehabilitation services and more.
• Sentara Albemarle Medical Center has assembled a medical staff of more than 100 physicians, representing nearly 30 specialties, and a caring staff of almost 1,000 employees.
• Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, located in Elizabeth City, NC, serves northeastern North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers.
• Our 182-bed facility features 25 specialties including emergency, maternity, orthopedics, medical, and surgical care in addition to our outpatient laboratory, imaging, and comprehensive breast services.
• In 2022, Sentara broke ground on a new campus, a state-of-the-art 88-bed hospital to replace the current 60-year-old facility on North Road Street.
• The 135-acre campus, coming out of the ground at Halstead Boulevard Extended and Thunder Road, will be known as the Sentara Albemarle Regional Health Campus.
• It is projected to cost about $200 million, up from the original estimate of $158 million, due to sharp spikes in costs for building materials and medical equipment.
