About the Role

The Commercial Lead is responsible for aggressively expanding Nielsen’s Analytics US revenue within the Digital vertical. This role owns the full sales cycle, from identifying untapped opportunities to negotiating and closing complex technical deals. The ideal candidate is a hybrid of a sales "hunter" and a data scientist, developing and marketing technical solutions to complex measurement challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Own and consistently exceed an individual annual revenue quota for the Digital Publisher vertical.
  • Drive full-cycle business development, including prospecting, opportunity advancement, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain executive-level presence to represent existing Nielsen products and creatively articulate solutions, translating complex concepts into clear, revenue-driving client solutions.
  • Drive all forms of new business, including upsells, net new logos, and win-backs.
  • Strategically prospect and close new business by identifying client pain points and mapping them to Nielsen's advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Create, grow, and manage a robust sales pipeline within Salesforce software, ensuring accurate revenue forecasting and delivery.
  • Lead Analytics Product Sales for the Digital vertical, responsible for commercial and strategic success among Digital clients.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate with other Nielsen teams (Account Management, Client Insights, Marketing, Product Leadership) to identify and execute new business opportunities.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for all Nielsen Analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a documented track record of exceeding sales quotas and closing six-figure-plus deals, ideally within media & advertising, consulting, SaaS, ad tech, measurement & research, or a related domain.
  • Must be able to think and act creatively, analytically, and productively to create new analytical solutions.
  • Ability to link analytical methodologies directly to client ROI and business growth.
  • Experience negotiating and closing six-figure+ deals, including navigating client stakeholder, procurement, and legal processes.
  • Deep understanding of the digital media & advertising landscape, including cross-channel advertising, social media, creators, programmatic, and ad tech and identity (HEMs, cookie-deprecation, first-party data matches).
  • Proven ability to develop long-term client relationships and manage long-cycle, consultative sales engagements.
  • Requires limited client and internal travel (up to 20%).
