About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Mechanical Engineer to help shape our data center cooling strategies. This critical role supports our data centers, which power trading operations, and requires a deep understanding of the entire data center infrastructure stack, from design and build to usage for demanding AI workloads. You will bridge the gap between strategic design and practical implementation, managing and monitoring the thermal environment.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and monitor data center power and cooling systems in collaboration with internal engineers and external vendors.
Consult internally with technology stakeholders to understand compute and infrastructure needs.
Develop and review design documentation, including cooling and power calculations, CFD studies, and failure analysis.
Strategize on control sequences of operation and monitoring approaches with the internal controls and monitor team.
Translate complex cooling constraints into clear requirements for other technology teams.
Research and develop future data center solutions for flexibility and performance.
Build and lead interdisciplinary teams including ML researchers, traders, architects, and facilities engineers.
Bridge the knowledge gap between data center infrastructure and GPU/HPC systems to support ML/compute clusters.
Design and oversee the implementation of cooling systems for high-density GPU and trading systems.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in thermal/mechanical engineering or data center engineering.
Direct experience with multi-megawatt GPU deployments and high-density computing environments.
Hands-on experience working in data centers with a deep understanding of hardware engineering and data center operations.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to balance systems-level, operational thinking with practical engineering.
Comfort with making decisions in the face of ambiguity and negotiating ideas across diverse groups.
