About the Role
We are seeking a Data Specialist to analyze, improve, and maintain data for trading operations. This role involves working within an engineering team, collaborating with software developers, traders, and operations professionals. Responsibilities include analyzing, onboarding, validating, and producing large datasets from various sources, and improving software in collaboration with trading desks. You will also interface with exchanges and data vendors to resolve issues and develop domain knowledge to interpret data and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing, onboarding, validating, and producing large data sets from many different sources
- Collaborating closely with your direct team and trading desks to understand requirements and improve our software
- Interfacing directly with exchanges and data vendors to raise, track, and resolve issues critical to our trading
- Developing deep domain knowledge to help interpret and consume our data, driving business growth in new areas
Requirements
- Strong data analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Programming experience in any language
- Experience using SQL and relational databases
- Responsible, organised, with great attention to detail
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Operations, support, and/or project coordination experience is a plus
- Prior experience with financial data is not required
