About the Role
We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support, configure, and maintain multiple systems across our technology stacks, including desktop environments, network infrastructure, and application platforms. You will respond to tech support requests, build and configure Windows, Linux, and macOS systems, support our Windows domain infrastructure, monitor critical systems, and optimize operations through automation. This role requires strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, real-time troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with users. You will be part of a global IT Operations group managing a mixed environment and contributing to the infrastructure that powers our trading operations. Occasional physical work, including lifting up to 40lbs, is required.
Responsibilities
- Support, configure, and maintain multiple systems across technology stacks
- Respond to tech support requests
- Build and configure Windows, Linux, and macOS laptops, desktops, and servers
- Support Windows domain infrastructure
- Monitor critical systems
- Optimize operations through automation tools like PowerShell
- Create scalable solutions that simplify operations
- Collaborate with technically sophisticated users
- Perform real-time troubleshooting
- Create and maintain infrastructure that powers trading operations
- Perform occasional physical work, including lifting equipment up to 40lbs
Requirements
- Passion for helping people and solving technical problems
- Solid foundation in information technology and networking principles
- Technical expertise in networking, programming, or system administration
- Knowledge and training in Windows Desktop/Server Operating Systems and best practices in a production environment
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and other common Windows administration sub-systems
- Clear, concise, and empathetic verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication for technical documentation and knowledge base maintenance
- Flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend hours
