About the Role
We are looking for a financing professional to support and develop Jane Street's EMEA financing capabilities across multiple asset classes. This role is entrepreneurial, offering the opportunity to shape and execute financing decisions and help develop the firm's long-term financing strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage and negotiate financing transactions on a day-to-day basis across various products.
- Maintain and develop relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties.
- Optimize the financing footprint across counterparties, products, and structures by identifying inefficiencies, reducing costs, and improving terms.
- Help form the long-term financing strategy by improving and expanding current activity.
- Understand firmwide financing constraints and compare financing opportunities using in-depth cost-benefit analysis.
- Help build and improve the infrastructure that supports financing initiatives.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant financing experience at a buy-side firm or bank.
- Strong understanding of EMEA financing and stock loan markets.
- Experience across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, corporate bonds, ETFs) and financing structures (e.g., PB, swap, repo) is a plus.
- Ability to cultivate and manage relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with performing technical data analysis to solve problems.
- Intellectually curious and motivated to learn about new financing trade types and strategies.
- Effective communicator who works well in a team environment.
- Fluency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages is a strong plus.
