About the Role

We are seeking a driven Technical Product Manager to support engineering initiatives. This role offers the chance to work with engineers on Jane Street’s trading technology, leading projects from conception to completion. You will define goals, develop timelines, track milestones, manage developer time, identify risks, and coordinate with various teams. Communication of project status and priorities to the organization is key. This role operates in a flexible, problem-solving environment, requiring a strategic thinker who can consider group and project goals. You will gain insight into global markets while improving our systems. Success requires independence, continuous learning, and decision-making with immediate impact.

Requirements

Experience working directly with engineering teams
Experience managing software development projects
Experience with project management planning tools (i.e., Jira, spreadsheets)
Ability to describe detailed problems with brevity and accuracy
Ability to handle competing priorities
Ability to work effectively in a challenging and fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Fluency in English required
Comfortable with ambiguity
Willingness to roll up sleeves and dig into problems
Ability to bring relevant skills to bear, whether through program management, product vision, or business context
