About the Role

The successful candidate will work on challenging and diverse tasks in a consulting and construction role that will require application of technical skills, project delivery, and leadership for construction projects. These projects consist of water pipelines, sitework for municipal water and sewer facilities, sewer lines, and infrastructure systems including treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Daily oversight and supervision of the site inspector(s) for assigned projects and administration of the construction contract.
Act as a role model and leader with respect to Health and Safety.
Observe and review projects during construction, monitoring conformance with plans, specifications, and other codes and regulations.
Monitor the progress of construction activities, ensuring cost, schedule and quality standards are met.
Review requests for payment draws from Contractors and prepare payment certifications to the project owner in a timely manner.
Communicate with and make recommendations to the Project Manager, Client and design team to resolve site issues.
Provide a public relations role to the public on construction projects, where applicable.
Provide the Project Manager and/or Client with updates on project progress or delays.
Review change orders and field orders for reasonableness of pricing and constructability.
Review plans, specifications, requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings and pay applications (QA/QC).
Prepare documents and maintain file management of project-related information including correspondence, reports, and pictures.

Salary/Compensations

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
