About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Senior Engineering Designer to join our Healthcare team. This role involves contributing to the delivery of complex, high-impact healthcare facilities, applying mechanical engineering expertise and project management skills across a diverse portfolio of projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares plans, designs, engineering calculations, and cost estimates for complex projects.
  • Assesses design constructability and makes edits to existing design specifications.
  • Manages and prioritizes project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Develops standards and reports.
  • Applies tools and methodologies for product and service delivery (e.g., AutoCad, HHA Drawing standards).
  • Assists with creating project plans by helping Project Managers enter plans into the CRM.
  • Ensures technical accuracy and competency of project design details.
  • Is accountable for all designs through to construction completion.
  • Ensures timesheets, logs, and files are accurate and up to date.
  • Works independently with general supervision to solve problems.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of engineering consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Good accuracy and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Passionate about buildings and the built environment.
