About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Senior Engineering Designer to join our Healthcare team. This role involves contributing to the delivery of complex, high-impact healthcare facilities, applying mechanical engineering expertise and project management skills across a diverse portfolio of projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
- Prepares plans, designs, engineering calculations, and cost estimates for complex projects.
- Assesses design constructability and makes edits to existing design specifications.
- Manages and prioritizes project activities to meet deadlines.
- Develops standards and reports.
- Applies tools and methodologies for product and service delivery (e.g., AutoCad, HHA Drawing standards).
- Assists with creating project plans by helping Project Managers enter plans into the CRM.
- Ensures technical accuracy and competency of project design details.
- Is accountable for all designs through to construction completion.
- Ensures timesheets, logs, and files are accurate and up to date.
- Works independently with general supervision to solve problems.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of engineering consulting experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute innovative ideas.
- Good accuracy and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
