About the Role
The Banquet Set-up position is responsible for safely and efficiently setting up banquets as specified by the customer. This position provides excellent customer service with a smile, exceeding set-up needs by paying attention to the details.
Responsibilities
- Know hotel layout and storage areas for the Food & Beverage Department
- Be familiar with A/V equipment - both in house and outside vendor’s
- Maintain all banquet rooms and closets to ensure they are organized and clean
- Read and comprehend BEO information
- Complete room set up according to BEO, ensure meeting room is clean, neatly set and ready for client at least 1 hour prior to arrival; place door sign for event and signs off on BEO
- Breakdown and/or “flip” banquet room and store equipment at conclusion of events (clear tables, for specified functions, down to the bare table and reset for following day)
- Turn off all lights, adjust AC, heat, and lock all doors and closets at end of shift
- Inspect banquet room equipment daily, such as lights, tables and chairs and inform department head of broken or missing equipment
