About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while providing leadership, coaching, and support to production team members. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with manufacturing experience who is committed to continuous improvement, safety, quality, and employee development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations while maintaining safety and product quality standards.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, sanitation procedures, GMPs, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate equipment and facility cleaning processes.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan staffing and allocate resources to meet production goals.
  • Manage employee scheduling and approve weekly payroll timekeeping.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Monitor labor, supplies, and operational costs while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to coordinate cleaning schedules and production support.
  • Build positive working relationships with labor representatives and cross-functional teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience required.
  • Dairy or food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Dairy Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, GMPs, and food safety practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with workforce scheduling and performance management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Willingness to complete company training on facility procedures and Critical Control Points (CCPs).
