About the Role
The Facilities Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and operation of facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment for staff and visitors. This role will involve regular travel to regional Advance offices, with visibility across all sites being essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operation and upkeep of buildings and grounds
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works
- Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and ensure standards are maintained
- Ensure facilities comply with health and safety regulations and building standards
- Maintain and update health & safety records, logs, and risk assessments
- Support compliance checks and statutory inspections (e.g., fire safety, electrical testing)
- Report hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken
- On a rota basis, support the Finance and Operations Directorate by covering the Hammersmith reception between 2pm and 5pm, and on the days when the Operations Administrator is out of office
Requirements
- Great organisation and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Ability to travel regularly between sites
- Ability to build relationships with different teams
- Must be the go-to person for facilities management queries
- References required
- Confirmation of the right to work in the UK required
- Satisfactory DBS check required
