About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead product development teams at SINGU Group. This role involves managing the people aspect of engineering, including hiring and development, as well as ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Platform Engineering to drive project success.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow Software Engineers and Tech Leads
- Own the full people lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, mentorship, feedback, performance reviews, promotions, and exits
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning
- Balance staffing across teams and reallocate engineers as needed
- Own on-time, high-quality delivery of product features in collaboration with Product and Design
- Align with Technical Account Managers to ensure delivery meets customer commitments
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks that impede team progress
- Champion group-wide SDLC standards and modern engineering practices (scalable architecture, secure coding, automation)
- Promote improved code quality, reliability, and testing discipline
- Partner with the Chief Architect on architectural direction
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
- Define and track engineering metrics with the Head of Software Engineering
- Foster an environment for experimentation to continuously improve standards
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Technical Account Managers on roadmaps and prioritization
- Coordinate with Platform Engineering on QA automation, DevOps, and data/reporting initiatives
- Build relationships with fellow Engineering Managers across SINGU Group to share best practices and align on common approaches
- Participate in regular online and on-site sessions across SINGU locations for alignment and connection
