About the Role

The Enterprise Technology Coordinator performs advanced enterprise technology coordination and project management work within the HHSC-CTO organization. This role requires strong coordination, technical, financial, project, and leadership skills, along with a practical understanding of modern enterprise technologies and project management practices to effectively engage with vendors, architects, IT governance, and delivery teams. The role serves as an IT delivery coordinator, translating enterprise technology direction into coordinated execution of artificial intelligence technology across programs and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage scope and customer expectations for projects.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and project plans.
  • Create communication plans, budgets, and cost tracking reports.
  • Prepare presentations and briefings, and report on project metrics.
  • Manage risks, issues, and associated mitigation activities.
  • Oversee quality control and change management processes.
  • Ensure customer acceptance and conduct lessons learned sessions.
  • Archive project documentation.
  • Perform project planning, alternatives analysis, and risk analysis/management.
  • Support programs in addressing desired business process and technology improvements.
  • Develop productive working relationships with program areas.
  • Understand IT governance and financial reporting processes.
  • Monitor and manage projects to completion, ensuring deliverable quality and contract fulfillment.
  • Support the development of vendor technical strategies, organizational strategies, and project plans.
  • Create charts, diagrams, tables, and reports depicting present and proposed systems in terms of costs, benefits, and tasks accomplished.
  • Initiate, develop, maintain, and complete a technical and project management professional learning path in collaboration with the Enterprise Technology Manager to support AI technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in information systems, business administration, mathematics, or a related field is generally preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in enterprise IT environments, including experience coordinating vendors, projects, financial management, or technology deployment initiatives, is required.
  • Experience working within a CTO, enterprise architecture, or centralized technology organization specific to health and human services is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership, governance, financial reporting, or portfolio coordination is also preferred.
  • Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
  • Selected candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Selected candidate must be willing to commute to the office on the required days.

Skills

  • Knowledge of IT governance, portfolio management, financial management, and technology planning processes
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and implement assigned projects, including contributions to project management tasks or personnel
  • Experienced with Agile and Waterfall development methods in the HHSC environment.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of systems analysis, including technologies, products, trends, standards, operations, best practices and related governance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with IT teams and others at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of enterprise application ecosystems, cloud platforms, and shared technology services
  • Knowledge of system integration, data flows, and dependencies across enterprise platforms
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, resiliency, and operational considerations in large-scale IT environments
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, application ecosystems, and enterprise integration concepts
  • Skill in coordinating across matrixed organizations without direct authority
  • Skill in vendor engagement and technology delivery coordination
  • Skill in synthesizing complex technical and delivery information for executive audiences
  • Skill in engaging in credible technical discussions with architects, engineers, and vendors
  • Skill in translating technical concepts into executive-level summaries and recommendations
  • Ability to align product and vendor activities to established enterprise direction
  • Ability to surface risks, dependencies, and trade-offs for leadership decision-making
  • Ability to understand and question technology approaches to ensure alignment with enterprise direction
  • Ability to recognize operational risks and elevate them appropriately
