About the Role
The Admissions Manager will be a target-focused individual responsible for liaising with prospective parents globally, ensuring a smooth transition to school. This role requires significant experience in customer care and a strong understanding of the independent education sector. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, along with high computer literacy and administrative capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Support in driving enrolment success from initial enquiry to student enrollment.
- Ensure the database is fully utilized for accurate and up-to-date records.
- Provide high-level customer service via email, telephone, and face-to-face communication.
- Guide and encourage prospective students and parents through the admissions process to increase conversion rates.
- Manage the Admissions Department diary and organize visits for prospective parents, students, and agents.
- Liaise with academic and boarding house staff to organize meetings with prospective parents.
- Accompany visitors and give tours of the school and boarding houses.
- Inform prospective parents, students, and feeder schools of entry and interview dates.
- Maintain spreadsheets regarding place and scholarship offers and draft offer letters.
- Assist in implementing best practice processes to increase retention, including participation in events.
- Oversee application deposits and handle admissions invoice queries.
- Maintain accurate agent commission records for enrolled students.
- Collate New Students Welcome Pack materials and ensure relevant online content is timely.
- Ensure all new students receive appropriate welcome and joining information.
- Enter and maintain application data in iSAMS and JD Edwards throughout the admissions process.
Requirements
- Sales management experience within a professional services setting.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets.
- IT skills with knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and cross-continent teams.
- Good literacy skills to prepare correspondence and maintain records.
- Experience working with the education sector is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with attention to detail to meet deadlines.
- Absolute discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Evidence of continual willingness to develop professional skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
