About the Role
GEA Bakery is a leading supplier of industrial processing equipment and solutions for the cakes, pies, cookies, biscuits, crackers, and snacks industry. Our global organization offers an extensive range of advanced solutions, from single machines to complete turnkey production lines including software-based productivity and line management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact with customers for service inquiries.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Perform mechanical skills, including troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on machines.
- Train customers' operators and maintenance personnel.
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
Requirements
- Possess 5 years of hands-on technical experience on electro-mechanical systems applied to industrial machinery.
- Demonstrate strong electrical aptitude, including motors, AC & servo drives, electrical circuitry, and PLC/PC based control systems (Allen Bradley/Rockwell essential).
- Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude, including power transmission systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Proven experience as a troubleshooter on electro-mechanical systems.
- Possess excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English and strong listening skills.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation with a "do whatever it takes" attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel up to 70%.
