About the Role
The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. Responsibilities may differ based on business needs and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods.
- Ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness for a safe environment.
- Follow Workplace Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs.
- Follow Food Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs.
- Follow HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs.
- Follow internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs.
- Work safely with large volume culinary equipment.
- Clock in and out for workday and breaks.
- Provide the highest quality of service.
- Utilize food preparation procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
- Execute NetMenu recipe preparation as directed.
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
- Notify management of any ingredient discrepancies, food/equipment safety issues, or other concerns.
- Attend all meetings.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
- Participate in HSEQ training.
- Report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year professional cooking experience or education equivalent.
- Ability to work safely with large volume culinary equipment including slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, and chopper.
- Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
- Utilize team lift, transportation carts, and other means of assistance for heavy loads.
- Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code.
- Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
