About the Role

Manulife Bank is seeking a Mortgage Specialist in Western Ontario to sell financial solutions directly to clients and collaborate with financial advisors. This is a remote, commission-based role focused on understanding client needs and offering financial solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote Manulife One, Manulife Bank Select, and associated lending solutions based on client needs and goals.
  • Develop a consumer client base for direct sales of lending solutions.
  • Ensure efficient and flawless client delivery and direct business flow to the appropriate servicing unit.
  • Act as a conduit for feedback, identifying ideas for product and service improvements and new product opportunities.
  • Partner with Business Development Managers and other banking specialists to build advisor interest in debt management and deposit solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of high performance in a busy sales environment.
  • High energy, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
  • Solid underwriting experience with residential mortgages (3-5 years).
  • 5 or more years of financial services experience preferred, or in a sales/service capacity.
  • Proven consultative sales capability, including relationship building, needs analysis, solution presentation, closing, and servicing skills.
  • Aptitude for learning and using technology for business purposes.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
  • Effective change management and organizational skills to manage fluctuating workloads.
  • Excellent customer and relationship management skills.
  • Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Travel required within the assigned territory.
