About the Role
Tempus is advancing the healthcare industry through precision medicine by connecting real-world evidence to deliver actionable insights to physicians, enabling them to provide the right treatments for the right patients at the right time.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and designers to develop software solutions for complex problems.
- Manage the product roadmap for a portion of Tempus’ products, aligning with Product Managers and the Director of Product to achieve goals.
- Work with development, science, and operations teams to deliver stable, scalable, reliable, and performant product releases.
- Perform in-depth product analysis to inform short- and long-term roadmap decisions.
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations regarding roadmap and delivery timelines.
- Test release candidates and participate in the Product Management approval process for deployments.
- Lead operational change management for production changes and associated workflow impacts.
- Act as the primary communication channel with product users to maintain and evolve the backlog of future enhancements.
Requirements
- Experience working with agile software development teams.
- Proven ability to build and utilize product analytics for decision-making using tools like SQL, Tableau, and Plotly.
- Familiarity with software development and project management tools such as JIRA and Trello.
- Ability and eagerness to quickly learn new concepts in genomics, oncology, and related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating between diverse teams including biologists, medical professionals, engineers, operators, and data scientists.
- 3+ years of technical experience in product management or software development within the tech or biotech industry is preferred.
