About the Role
This role focuses on financial and feasibility analyses for development projects, assists in sourcing new development projects, and collaborates with various internal teams across all asset classes in Eastern Canada.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis and underwriting for development projects.
- Review budget assumptions and assist with revenue & expense assumptions.
- Assemble data rooms and handle follow-up information requests.
- Consolidate key data for various reports.
- Prepare departmental reports, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting to support business planning and decision-making.
- Track, process, and coordinate invoices and purchase orders (POs).
- Assist with approvals, reporting processes, and policy compliance.
- Support the new business team during feasibility, acquisition, rezoning, and predevelopment cycles.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop pro-formas, sensitivity analysis, and cash flow projections.
- Coordinate with various 3rd party consultants to summarize and maintain information.
- Maintain financial models and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements.
- Assist with opportunity summaries, deal recommendations, and associated updates.
- Influence strategy and decisions by providing compelling data-based rationales.
- Stay on top of industry trends and conduct market research.
Requirements
- Must have expert-level MS Excel and quantitative skills.
- Must have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- University degree ideally in business, finance, accounting, or economics.
- 1+ year of experience in real estate analysis (preferred).
- Argus experience and/or exposure (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
