About the Role

Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient needs for orthopedic or pelvic physical therapy and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide care and treatment based on physician care plans, agency policy, and professional standards.
- Manage patient caseload including pre-natal and post-partum diagnoses, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, colorectal conditions, pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti.
- Focus on the prevention and treatment of functional disorders in the abdominal, pelvic, and low back regions.
- Deliver high-quality patient treatment, including evaluation, treatment planning, patient/family education, safety procedures, and communication with patients, families, and physicians.
- Operate patient care equipment, including electrical stimulation units.
- Direct and assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training.
- Instruct family members, PTAs, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in physical therapy techniques.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in New York or eligible.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Pelvic Floor rehabilitation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with strong manual skills.
- Mandatory First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.
- Women's Health Certification is a plus.
- Minimum Pelvic Floor 1 through APTA or Herman & Wallace is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
