About the Role

Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with significant experience in anti-social behaviour, community safety, and statutory nuisance investigations. You will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and enforcement powers, coupled with the ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions based on evidence and professional judgement. The role requires building effective relationships with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies, communicating clearly, negotiating effectively, and working in partnership with organizations such as the Police and housing providers. You will be a proactive problem solver with experience in undertaking investigations, gathering and assessing evidence, and progressing enforcement action where appropriate. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services in a fast-paced environment are key.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve complaints relating to anti-social behaviour, statutory nuisance, and community safety.
  • Utilize a range of enforcement powers where appropriate.
  • Manage complex casework and gather evidence.
  • Collaborate closely with residents, Police, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Prepare legal documentation.
  • Attend court or hearings when required.
  • Participate in out-of-hours enforcement and patrol work.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in anti-social behaviour, community safety, and statutory nuisance investigations.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and enforcement powers.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions based on evidence and professional judgement.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and negotiate effectively.
  • Experience of undertaking investigations, gathering and assessing evidence, and progressing enforcement action.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality services in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good numeracy and literacy with a minimum of GCSE A-C including Maths and English.
  • Able to attend meetings in the evenings, work outside normal office hours, and work beyond minimum hours when required to achieve deadlines.
  • Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
