About the Role

Leads the sales department by developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve profit potentials, quota attainment, and sales goal achievement aligned with M/I Homes objectives. Assists in sales training through one-on-one dialogue with New Home Consultants (NHC) bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and motivates sales staff to achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Monitors and enhances New Home Sales Consultant performance and efficiency.
  • Assigns sales team appropriate quotas, goals, and sales areas, and continuously monitors these goals and team morale.
  • Trains and coaches salespeople to reach their selling potential through company initiatives.
  • Gathers competitive information, analyzes data to secure market share and positioning, and completes quarterly compensation reports.
  • Acts as a liaison between the sales team, homeowners, production, office staff, and other management team members to resolve issues.
  • Assists sales team meetings to lead, inspire, and train.
  • Recruits and retains high-quality personnel and manages low-performing personnel.
  • Challenges sales staff with their professional growth.
  • Leads the sales team to improve strategies for assisting the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
  • Supervises the sales team through leadership and guidance of operating activities during weekly planned encounters.
  • Assists with special projects and performs additional duties as required.
  • Ensures all communities, sales offices, and models are up to brand standards.

Requirements

  • Specific training in sales and marketing techniques.
  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • Related industry supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the home building industry relative to sales and marketing strategies and techniques.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Experience Level
