About the Role
DRW is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the digital assets team. This role involves building and operating systems for cryptoasset management, including treasury automation, wallet inventory, and integrations with custody platforms. You will collaborate directly with business partners to develop meaningful products.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test full-stack applications (APIs through UI) for digital asset operations.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical plans and shipped software.
- Own software end-to-end, including deployment, operation, and on-call responsibilities.
- Work across both greenfield systems and existing codebases.
- Build and improve CI/CD, container, and Kubernetes tooling and processes.
- Collaborate with other software teams, trading desks, and business units.
- Mentor team members and elevate engineering practices.
- Learn and champion new technologies where appropriate.
Requirements
- Strong initiative and proven experience independently driving projects to completion.
- Ability to work from high-level requirements and understand business needs.
- Experience with crypto or digital-asset systems is highly desired.
- Deep Python expertise is a significant differentiator.
- Experience with cryptoassets, digital-asset operations, or custody/wallet platforms.
- Experience with DeFi, smart contracts, staking, or other on-chain systems.
- Full-stack development experience with Python (FastAPI).
- Strong relational data modeling fundamentals.
- Experience with GitOps and Kubernetes.
- Experience with job orchestration systems (Airflow, Prefect, etc.).
