About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of the organization and shape the future of our business. The Corporate Strategy team oversees the firm's organic growth strategy, M&A agenda, and new strategic initiatives, reporting directly to the CEO. As a VP, you will contribute across both strategy and M&A, evaluating investment and acquisition opportunities, driving deals from origination through close, and representing Arcesium externally.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Strategy and team members across deal processes, including target identification, financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and transaction execution.
- Contribute to the acquisition pipeline through proactive sourcing and evaluation of candidates aligned with strategic priorities.
- Develop a robust and scalable approach to investing in earlier-stage companies.
- Prepare high-quality materials for executive and board-level audiences, including deal memos and strategic analyses.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Product, HR) across transaction and integration workflows.
- Represent Arcesium across the investment ecosystem, with investment bankers, PE sponsors, venture investors, and other potential counterparties.
- Build and maintain a network of relationships that generates proprietary deal flow and strategic intelligence.
- Help design new strategic initiatives as the strategic agenda evolves.
- Define scope and opportunity of strategic initiatives and set KPIs.
- Conduct market research to substantiate and validate opportunities.
- Partner with Product, Technology, and Commercial teams to agree on opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- 7–12 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, principal investing, private equity, venture capital, or a combination.
- Demonstrated experience running or significantly contributing to deal processes (M&A, minority investments, or growth equity).
- Strong financial modeling skills (LBO, DCF, venture return frameworks).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a bias for action, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of driving outcomes independently.
- Prior exposure to financial technology, data infrastructure, B2B SaaS, or capital markets technology preferred.
- Experience in a corporate development function at a technology company, or a principal investing role with meaningful deal ownership preferred.
- Experience leveraging AI and LLM tools to make corporate development work more efficient preferred.
