About the Role

Join Catholic Charities of Herkimer County in our mission to make a positive impact on the community. As the Community Outreach Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis, individual, and family counseling on a short-term basis to residential and non-residential youth who have: run away, are at risk of running away, have been kicked out of their homes, or are homeless.
  • Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule.
  • Deliver comprehensive case management services, including referrals, advocacy, consultations, aftercare, and follow-up support.
  • Assist youth and their families by offering guidance, education on legal rights and options, and supportive encouragement to help them achieve established goals.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments, develop individualized service plans, and coordinate parental notification.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 Years experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License

Work Type

  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00AM - 3:30PM
  • Tuesday/Thursday 12:30PM - 8PM
  • possible weekends and weeknights, subject to call

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED

Salary/Compensations

  • $17.00 / Hour
  • $19.00 / Hour
