About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer for upstate New York to work on design-build civil engineering projects for various clients. The role involves managing project tasks, supervising engineers, and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage project or structure tasks on major projects.
• Supervise a number of professional engineers / entry-level engineers.
• Provide technical leadership for a specialty.
• Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Make decisions independently on technical problems and methods.
• Represent the organization in conferences.
• Resolve important questions and plan and coordinate work.
• Utilize advanced techniques and modifications of theories, precepts, and practices.
• Receive direction on unusual conditions and developments.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Structural Engineering
• 8 years of transportation experience
• Must have a PE
• Experience working with New York DOT (NYDOT) and/or New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) standards.
