About the Role
Lyft Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the AI transformation in developer productivity. This role involves rethinking how engineers work with AI, from tooling and agentic workflows to the underlying platforms, blending program delivery with product sense to own the roadmap, set priorities, and represent the customer's needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead Lyft's AI transformation in developer productivity, shaping the strategy for AI enhancement of engineering workflows.
- Own the roadmap, including work sequencing, prioritization, and defining success metrics for AI-driven engineering productivity.
- Partner with engineering teams to build AI-native workflows that address real developer pain points.
- Manage programs end-to-end, coordinating across infrastructure, developer platforms, and engineering leadership.
- Act as the voice of the customer by partnering with engineering teams, identifying pain points, and feeding them back into roadmaps.
- Define success metrics and adoption goals, gather customer requirements, and ensure delivered solutions solve problems.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure leads to develop plans, identify risks, and maintain stakeholder alignment.
- Own program health by tracking milestones, surfacing blockers, and keeping decision-makers informed.
- Utilize technical background to ask insightful questions and develop team-supported plans.
- Participate in the team's release on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Technical Program Management or a TPM/PM hybrid role.
- Background in software, data, or systems engineering sufficient for deep technical collaboration.
- Proven experience owning a roadmap, including strategy setting, prioritization, and defining success.
- Experience with developer productivity, developer tooling, or engineering platforms.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code) and their practical application by engineers.
- Strong track record of autonomously leading cross-functional programs with dependencies and tight timelines.
- Experience managing customer relationships across engineering teams, gathering requirements, and translating needs into technical specifications.
- Ability to derive meaningful insights from usage and productivity data to influence planning and communication.
- Comfortable defining and tracking success metrics and adoption.
- Clear communication skills across all levels, from engineers to VPs.
