About the Role
An excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal/administrator to provide support to our flagship media and communications law department.
Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and court hearings
- Assist in the drafting of legal documents
- Electronically file case-related documents and emails
- Invoice files and acknowledge payments
- Perform credit control
- Prepare bundles
- Lodge documents at court
- Conduct legal research
- Conduct factual research
- Proofread documents
- Research and draft legal blogs and updates
- Perform ad hoc administrative tasks, including supporting the smooth operation of the office
- Balance paralegal and administrative duties appropriately to ensure no task is neglected
Requirements
- Must have experience working as a paralegal
- Must have a real interest in media and communications law
- Must be accomplished communicators, adept verbally and at drafting correspondence
- Must be able to conduct effective legal research
- Must have first-rate note-taking skills
- Must have meticulous attention to detail
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must have a proactive approach to work
- Must have a 'can do' attitude
- Must share the firm's ethos of offering the highest level of service to clients
- Must adhere to the highest professional standards
