About the Role

This role involves consulting and presales activities, including technical workshops, and hands-on engineering in complex network and infrastructure environments. You will also be responsible for planning, consolidating, and implementing network and datacenter concepts, developing target architectures, and temporarily leading technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition and presales activities and conduct technical workshops with clients.
• Plan and consolidate network and datacenter concepts and implement them in the enterprise environment.
• Develop technical target architectures considering security, high availability, and regulatory requirements.
• Temporarily assume technical project leadership and conduct IT assessments and reviews.
• Actively participate in projects within complex network and infrastructure environments and pragmatically solve technical challenges.

Requirements

• Completed computer science degree or comparable technical training.
• Several years of practical experience in IT consulting and system or network engineering with a datacenter focus.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft infrastructure environment (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server).
• Knowledge of Juniper and Cisco networks (routing, switching).
• Solid firewall know-how (design, operation, troubleshooting).
• Experience with virtualization, backup/recovery, and hybrid cloud connections.
• Ability to design stable network and IT architectures.
• Understanding of IT security and various operating models.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as BAIT, KAIT, VAIT, ZAIT, DORA, or NIS2 is ideal.
• Confident use of AI tools in your field, critical evaluation of results, and support for clients in leveraging AI potential.
• Very good German and good English language skills for confident communication.
