About the Role

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking an Industry Technical Consultant for our Micro Electronics Division supporting Water Treatment applications. This role is crucial for supporting business growth, driving innovation, and transferring knowledge to ensure client success. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and solve complex client problems.
  • Train technical audiences.
  • Recommend operational efficiency improvements for client utility systems.
  • Validate new innovative technologies.
  • Assist Corporate Account Managers and Sales Reps in technical sales calls and presentations.
  • Research, identify, and define market and product application opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans.
  • Deliver best-in-class expertise, system optimization, and problem-solving in dynamic customer environments.
  • Demonstrate total value delivered and sell the value of solutions combining chemistry, automation, digital, equipment, and engineered solutions.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts using root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Assess water treatment programs and recommend/quantify operational efficiency improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams to support technical sales opportunities.
  • Understand client technology requirements, recommend solutions, and provide training and support.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Marketing on Innovation projects from ideation to launch.
  • Lead innovation pilot applications, technical trials, and market trials.
  • Deliver value to customers using a problem-solving mindset to achieve innovative results.
  • Facilitate training for associates and customers.
  • Coach individuals on processes, applications, technologies, and value documentation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in optimizing water/wastewater and cooling operations in the Semi-Conductor Industry.
  • Proven experience in complex chemistry, automation, digital, equipment, and engineered solutions.
  • Inquisitive mind, challenging the status quo and embracing disruptive technologies.
  • Excellent communicator, able to consult, coach, and mentor internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Value mindset with a focus on delivering measurable savings and impact.
  • Solution-oriented, problem-solving mindset for complex challenges.
  • Willing and able to travel throughout Europe to customer sites.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment, cooling applications, and solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering technical solutions within customer-facing environments.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process) is preferred.
  • Recognized as an expert in industry or technology focus is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and approach is preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are preferred.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, result-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction is preferred.
  • Excellent team orientation, proactivity, and sense of urgency is preferred.
  • English CV is required for this European role.
